General FAQs

  • The easiest way is to get in touch with us directly — you can call or email, and our admin team will help you find a suitable time and therapist.

If you’re new to Little Bodies Therapy, we’ll also organise our initial assessment  intake call before your first session so we can learn all about your child and their goals.

  • No referral needed! Families are welcome to self-refer at any time. Health professionals, teachers, or support coordinators can also refer if preferred.

  • Before your first face-to-face session, you’ll have a 45-minute intake call with your therapist.

During that call, we’ll let you know if anything specific is helpful to bring — for example, mobility equipment, school reports, NDIS documents, or items your child enjoys for comfort or motivation.

  • All therapy appointments run for 45 minutes, with additional time allocated outside the session for planning and clinical notes.

  • Yes,we offer Telehealth for parent coaching, support appointments, and certain therapy sessions where appropriate. If you’re unsure whether Telehealth would work well for your child, just ask - we’re happy to guide you.

Payment & Funding FAQs

  • Yes, we work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

We’re not NDIS-registered, so agency-managed plans cannot be billed.

  • If you’re privately paying, we can issue invoices that you may be able to claim under your private health cover (depending on your fund and level of extras).

Your child may also qualify for a Chronic Condition Management Plan which your GP will be able to guide and complete a referral for. If your child qualifies, you can receive up to 5 sessions of support (a Medicare subsidy to sessions) each calendar year.

  • Invoices are emailed after each appointment and are due within 7 days. If you require a different arrangement, just chat with our admin team and we’ll do our best to help.

  • Life happens, we understand! We do have a cancellation policy (outlined in your service agreement) to make sure our therapists’ time is protected. If you need to change an appointment, let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the spot to another family.
