Short-term programs. Long lasting progress.

At Little Bodies Therapy, our intensive therapy blocks are high-frequency, short-term programs designed to accelerate your child’s progress and build meaningful, lasting skills.

These focused blocks combine multiple sessions per week over a set period (typically two weeks) helping children make noticeable improvements in strength, coordination, endurance, and confidence.

Our approach is supportive, play-based, and family-centred, ensuring therapy feels fun, achievable, and tailored to your child’s goals.

How Intensive Therapy helps

Intensive therapy provides short, focused bursts of therapy that help children build momentum in their learning and development. Each program is carefully designed to meet your child’s unique abilities and motivation, with clear goals created in partnership with families.

Research shows that short, high-frequency therapy blocks can lead to faster, more meaningful progress than traditional weekly sessions — especially when sessions are goal-based, hands-on, and playful. By combining consistent repetition with fun, motivating activities, intensive programs support both neuroplasticity and confidence, helping children carry new skills into everyday life.

Intensive therapy helps children:

  • Accelerate progress: through consistent, daily practice that strengthens learning and motor patterns.

  • Build strength, coordination, and endurance: in a shorter timeframe.

  • Develop confidence and motivation: through visible results and mastery of new skills.

  • Reinforce neuroplasticity: helping the brain and body work together through repetition and task-specific play.

  • Achieve meaningful functional goals:from motor milestones to everyday participation.

  • Support rehabilitation and recovery: after surgery, injury, or periods of reduced activity.

  • Promote carryover at home: through parent coaching and collaborative goal-setting.

Intensive blocks are particularly helpful for children working on strength, balance, coordination, motor milestones, fine or gross motor skills, participation in meaningful and functional activities, and for those who may benefit from rapid progression in a short period of time.

Intensive therapy can be tailored to single or combined disciplines and is appropriate for children from early intervention to adolescence, depending on their goals and needs.

  • Yes! We run additional intensives during school holidays to allow more children — especially those in school — to participate in these short-term, high-impact programs.
