Meet the Team
Kate Neates
Director and Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist
Kate is an APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist with over 16 years of clinical experience and a strong passion for holistic, family-centred paediatric care. She has extensive experience supporting infants and children with global developmental delay, complex physical disabilities, and neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular focus on early intervention and trans-disciplinary care.
Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Curtin University and later completed a Master of Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy Practice at Monash University. She began her career in private practice musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, developing a strong foundation in movement analysis and functional rehabilitation. During this time, she volunteered for five years as Head Physiotherapist for the Perth Wheelcats, WA’s National League Wheelchair Basketball Team, and completed a season as a physiotherapist with the WA Football Commission.
Kate has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist across multiple specialist paediatric settings, including a not-for-profit Country Resource Program, where she supported families and therapists throughout WA with a focus on Cerebral Palsy and complex physical disabilities. In 2017, she moved to Sydney to join a private practice delivering intensive therapy programs for children from Australia and abroad, before later working with another not-for-profit as an Early Childhood Early Intervention Coordinator in partnership with the NDIS.
As Director and Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist, Kate brings an evidence-based, holistic approach grounded in functional goals, early motor development, and strong family collaboration, and remains committed to ongoing professional development and high-quality, contemporary paediatric care.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her daughter and traveling and being active with her family.
